Vision
I created 'The Psychology Studio' from a simple but powerful belief echoed in Brené Brown’s work:
“Connection is why we’re here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”
Throughout my years supporting children, adolescents, and families, I have seen how healing begins when people feel deeply seen, understood, and supported. I opened The Psychology Studio to build a space where those connections can flourish—a place where every child, parent, and individual feels safe to explore their story, discover their strengths, and move forward with confidence and compassion.
This practice is more than a clinic; it is a warm, intentional space shaped by curiosity, courage, and the belief that every person deserves to be met exactly where they are.
Sonam Mann, R.Psych
As a Registered Psychologist, I bring over 14 years of experience in child, adolescent, and family psychology. I have expertise in the formal assessment and diagnosis of complex developmental, learning, and mental health disorders, as well as the effective implementation of evidence-based therapeutic treatments. My clinical work includes trauma-informed interventions and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), for which I have completed specialized training.
I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the United Kingdom. My approach is grounded in a strong diagnostic foundation, shaped by years of delivering DSM-based clinical, cognitive, academic, and psychosocial assessments within Alberta Health Services, Mosaic Primary Care Network, and private practice in Calgary. I also have experience working in women’s clinics, where I have supported perinatal mental health, including pregnancy-related transitions and postpartum concerns.
In my spare time—which is rare, as I am a mom of two—I love to read (voraciously), paint (abstractly), bake (carefully), and play board games (competitively). As a family, we love travelling and exploring the outdoors, and we are always on the lookout for trending restaurants.
